The birth of the band was in 1992, when the first songs born. The band was called Shitness and after some changes in the line-up they recorded in 1994 a demo-tape ("Shitness") containing two songs: “Label” and “Metallic tomb”. Despite the problems of this recording there was a good repercusion so they recorded one song to a compilation called "Falange Rock II".

In January, 1995 they recorded in Aeroanta a live demo-tape(“Sign of sanity”) but internal problems began. In September, 1995 the band was on studio to make its best work so far: “Negative energy”. This demo was recorded at Creative Sound studio and it has an excelent feedback from the press and fans, but two musicians left the band in this year bringing too many problems to the band.

Over almost one year testing drums players and guitar players, finally in 1996 they got new musicians to keep on the road. So, in the end of the year, they recorded “Energy” CD , produced by Roberto Sileci, bringing a new name to the band: Poseidon (god of the sea in greek mythology - for more information about mythology click here). The feedback of this work was good, spreading the Poseidon sound around the world.

The year of 2001 mark the release of "In metal, the return" with 3 music that show a more melodic sound. The recording happened at the studio Mr. Sound under the responsibility of Marcello Pompeu and Ronaldo Simolla. Now is time to wait for the tour and, who knows, a contract to record a complete CD. But, unfortunallity, the guitar and drums players left the band and nowadays the remanescents are searching for new musicians.
